Although now known strictly as "Martene", she was once Mrs. Martin to her students back in native Toronto.  Kindergarten teacher to lady magician started as a way to earn extra income. The rewards of the entertainment world soon became lucrative enough give up teaching.

As Martene moved from city to city with her executive husband, who was climbing his own corporate ladder, she found her magic to be in demand everywhere. As a corporate wife, her skills as a party planner took shape. The natural progression brought clients to her who needed more than just a magician for their parties & special events.

With her growing contacts in the entertainment field, Martene found that bringing a party to life required the special touch of personal planning. Decor for the right theme was added to the list. A prop house to store her growing collection of theme decor became a necessity. She found less time for performing and began the new business of event and party planning now known as Martene & Associates in Rosemont, IL.

Today Martene not only has a huge catalog of entertainers, a warehouse brimming with theme decor, and a great support team, but she continues to take each new challenge as a creative responsibility that dynamic events require to be “special“.
